GIRA OS Connect for true Apple integration

Gira have recently launched OS Connect allowing you to control you Apple computer directly from KNX or Quad Client. Standard Scripts such as iTunes and iPhoto control come with the software but can also be customised. Please Contact Ivory Egg for more info.

Zennio expand Act in Box Classic functionality

The first and arguably the most useful Zennio product just got even better. Now you can designate 2 of the inputs as a temp sensor and presence input. So just to be clear, this tiny product now offers; 4 x binary inputs, 4 x binary 10A outputs, Temperature sensing with regulation, Presence detection input and Logic modules. For some time we have been recommending one with every project as a useful get out of jail product, now its all you will need in some rooms. Best of all its just a firmware change on all new versions of the hardware and you can still use it in its previous 6 input version with the old firmware if you wish.

GIRA - New Products launch, London 13th Sept.

The Light + Building show in Frankfurt this year showcased a huge array of new KNX products. Gira iPhone App still on target for 1st August release

After Apple announced iOS4, Gira have rescheduled the release dates of their apps by concentrating effort on the iPhone / iPod app first. This will now come in both iOS3 and iOS4 versions from the outset and should still be available from the appstore August 1st. The dedicated iPad app will now follow in September.

EnOcean Alliance validates UK foothold with major building references

At its first London Open House Exhibition on the 20th of May, the EnOcean Alliance announced the growing presence of selfpowered wireless technology in the UK, and revealed first time details of high profile residential, commercial and industrial building automation projects across the country. More Loewe and Gira cooperation

The stunning new Loewe handset fits into a Gira frame. This is a very elegant solution and completes the integration of Loewe Audio into the Gira offering. In combination with the new Loewe Plug-in for the Gira interface the iPhone /iPad apps and KNX control via Loewe televisions this amounts to the first full integration of KNX and Multiroom audio we have seen.

New Gira Touchpanels announced

Gira have revealed two stunning new touchpanels. As both now have microphones they can be used as home stations within a door entry system or run the Gira Interface for complete KNX, Audio and Door Entry in one. The panels come in 9 and 19 inch versions and will be in production at the end of 2010

Switch actuation with built in metering - now thats a good idea...

4 channels of 16A switching with metering on each channel. A detachable bus coupler allows for swapping the units out without reprogramming and the software includes all the standard parameters along with logic and are backwards compatible with the current mix series.
